Outlet Filters for Septic Tanks
HAMCO has always recommended outlet filters for the septic systems it installs and services.
Outlet filters improve the operation and extend the lifespan of your septic system. In fact, many states, including the State of Indiana (as of January 1, 2010), require outlet filters for all new septic system installations. Outlet filters protect the drainage field from the accumulation of solids and debris (also known as "biomat") that will eventually lead to system failure. On the left, you can see the biomat that was captured by an outlet filter before it could lead to a broken septic system.
